Location and car park.
No heating in room. After raising issue with staff (attitude of staff very good/portable heater provided). Central heatingin room failed to work during stay of three days. Took eight hours before bed for child was provided. On leaving desk staff were excellent,
The room w (room 802) was large and very clean with fantastic views over Hyde Park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and beautifully presented although my mother had fish which was served skin side up and she felt that was incorrect.
The noise from the road was very loud due to the vents in the windows which couldn't be closed. The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable for my 13 year old daughter. We thought the price of drinks in the bar was outrageous! For a large glass of wine and a double brandy we paid £22 - unbelievable! The second night we were there we brought in a bottle of wine from a nearby shop and had a drink in our room instead. The first night we were there the bar was very quiet and I must say I'm not surprised. If the drinks were more fairly priced guests would be more inclined to have a drink in the bar.
Everything was excellent. The stuff was really great and nothing to complain on. Rooms was very clean but as may other has mentioned small but enough for most people. When we arrived the hotel was over booked but the staff fixed this sending us to another hotel (even better), booked taxi and took care about all practicle things to assit us. Very good.
Nothing. Very good value for that price.
Clean, modern, quiet room. Comfortable bed. Modern, clean bathroom with superb shower. Staff helpful and friendly. Good location. Plenty nearby restaraunts for breakfast.
Rooms on small size but I would prefer a smll room once it was good quality and good value. Breakfast price probably a deterent not to eat there. £16 per couple rather than per person would have been far more reasonable especially considering cost of London hotel rooms.
Very comfortable family room which was immaculate and inviting...bed was super comfy too. Staff were very friendly and helpful and location was great. My friends and I will definitely stay again on our next trip to London.
Great location with great shopping strips nearby, good choice of restaurants within walking distance and Kensington Gardens accros the roas. Only a couple of minutes walk to the underground and buses stopping outside the hotel. Very handy to have a supermarket a couple of blocks away.
The rooms were comfy and clean and just right for our two night stay. The porter at the entrance each day was more than helpful a credit to his job and the hotel. The location was great right next to two underground stops. We would recommend a stay here as Hyde Park was a nice option being as it was just adjacent to the hotel
The staff were very friendly the accommodation was very comfortable and clean.
The wine was expensive
Great location a block away from the Queensway Underground station. Staff was very helpful.
Clean and comfortable, excellent service, friendly staff, disabled access and parking
Lift is very small and not good for a wheelchair,so had to leave wheelchair in the car
Great location to visit Hyde park, we were there to attend a concert in the park, we could walk to the park easily. Convenient to the tube to travel to other attractions in the city.
Location, location, location
Upon arrival, the hotel staff could not find our booking made through Booked.net. Told us they were fully booked and tried to send us to another hotel far away from Kensington Gardens, even though we had booked for Thistle Kensington. When we complained to the manager, all of a sudden they found a room for us, but certainly not the room we booked and paid for on Booked.net
Very friendly and helpful staff, room was smallish but adequate. Cleanliness was excellent as was the food, comfortable beds. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to family/friends.
My daughter and I had tickets for the Olympics and decided at the last moment to stay in London. Our choice of hotels did not disappoint , in fact quite the opposite. We found the staff extremely helpful, polite and friendly and everyone we came into contact with went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. Our bedroom, overlooking Kensington Gardens, was second to none. Thank you and I am certain that we shall return.
Location is good enough, close to Queensway and Bayswater tube stations. The price was resonable after discount. Supermarket and breakfast cafe locates in walking distance.
Very small room (usual for London), hotel staff usually was friendly, but not always helpful. Room microclimat was difficult to regulate (either too cold or too hot).
